We'd been trying to plan a ski trip this season, but weren't making much progress, when we got a call from our friends with an invitation to their Chalmers' family home in Steamboat. Why yes, we will come along, thank you very much, we can make this work! And, as most of you know, Justin's and my travel schedules are nearly impossible to coordinate with so it was nothing short of a miracle that we were actually available when they were planning to travel. We'd never been to Steamboat before and couldn't wait to ski somewhere new.
The condo was cozy, inviting and beautiful!
Over 27in. of snow had fallen when we arrived. And then next morning, there was even more! When we got in our car it was -6 degrees!!
And this little sweetie LOVES snow!
After a delicious breakfast, we ventured out.
The first day on the slopes was snowy, cold and overcast but it was a great day to get warmed up.
Day 2 was sunny, gorgeous and much more crowded. We skiied all day long and loved every minute of it!
Day 3 we were all a little sore and tired and decided to head to downtown Steamboat to do some shopping. The guys posted up in a bar and played video games while the girls did some exploring.
And there was a gorgeous sunset on our last night!
Thank you Megan, Brent, Liv and Sue (and friends) for a trip we'll never forget!!
