love day

We're having wood floors installed in our upstairs hallway and master bedroom to match the rest of the house, which is a significant V-day gift to ourselves, so we decided to stay in, relax and cook last night. I used to post all my luck with pinterest recipes (and I'm going to try to do a better job b/c I tend to make at least 3 meals from that website every week) so I thought I'd share my not-so-luck with something I made last night.

Unconventional Chicken Pot Pie

 The recipe (http://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/browse-all-recipes/chicken-dumplings-recipe-10000001141202/index.html) says to continue cooking 15 min at 400 degrees once you put the biscuits on top. But, the biscuits say to cook at 350 degrees. When I noticed the tops were browning I turned down the oven, which I probably shouldn't have done, because when I took the dish out of the oven to serve, the biscuits were still raw :( So, we ate the chicken pot part of it and not the pie!

But dessert was a hit.
