This weekend was full of activity. We packed up and headed to Lake Ouachita Saturday morning to hang out on Tim's 65 foot houseboat. It was huge! Talk about a party boat! We swam and ate and played cards and ate some more and the guys rode jet skis all day long. I wish I had gotten pics of everyone asleep on the top deck that night - there were 9 of us on the boat and only 2 beds. We had a great time and the weather was gorgeous!
On Sunday we stopped by a jerky place called Burl's. They had so much cool stuff to take pics of! It was a great property on a creek with lots of antiques and old buildings.
Then we went into Hot Springs for a bit on our way back to Little Rock and walked around all the shops. They are known for their historic bath houses but we didn't have time to take a tour of one.
Having a beer in the old gangster club where Al Capone used to hang out!
That night Nana and Papa had us over for a delicious dinner. And on Memorial Day we had lunch down by the river at a place called the Flying Fish before heading back to Houston. It was a very memorable memorial day weekend!
