merry christmas! happy holidays!

My parents came from Dallas and my brother, Patrick, traveled from Lubbock to spend the holidays at our house this year. On the 23rd we traditionally take a drive to go see Christmas lights in a random popular neighborhood. Last year we went through River Oaks so this year we decided to check out Prestonwood Forest.

Look at the traffic! Good thing we had some fun Christmas tunes on to keep us occupied while we poked along.

Many of the streets had themes. This one was Charlie Brown.

 This one was USA.

They even decorated their mail boxes!

When we got home Dad had penne with octopus red sauce prepared. Delish!

Christmas Eve we went to Brenham to see Justin's family. We lucked out and the weather was gorgeous so we had fun shooting guns, eating gumbo & potato salad (a Louisiana tradition where they are from), exchanging gifts, and spending time together.

When we got home, we exchanged gifts between my family.

My new ornament in honor of my late g'ma, 'Namie,' who loved hummingbirds.

What a wonderful Christmas! So many things to be thankful for. Love to all!
