labor day

Steve and Robin flew down from Little Rock to visit for Labor Day. We took them to El Real for dinner straight from the airport. It's one of our favorite mexican restaurants and they loved it too. It doesn't get much better than the Roosevelt Special and skinny margaritas!

The next morning we got up and packed the car and headed west to San Antonio. We had to stop at Buc-ees of course for snacks and ended up spending an hour in there. We were prepared because we all know how much Steve loves shopping!

We got to San Antonio and walked around the Riverwalk, had lunch and then went to see the Alamo. It was so hot we couldn't take much more.

Then we checked in at our condo in New Braunfels right on the river and went down to the pool and hot tub. It was a great first day! We woke up bright and early the next day and packed our cooler for a day of fun, sun, and water at Schlitterbahn.

After a long day at Schlitterbahn we went back to the condo and met up with our friends who came down from Austin. We showered and put on our cowboy boots and went into the town of Gruene to have dinner at the Gristmill. There were tons of people there and a concert going on at Gruene Hall. We got an awesome table on the patio at Gristmill and the food was delicious!! Of course the property is the perfect backdrop for some picture perfect photos so we couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Our last full day we spent at Canyon Lake and had a ton of fun!
