girls weekend in NYC

Brianna and I flew up to NYC to visit one of our girlfriends who is spending 2 months working there this summer. We walked at least 5 miles everyday trying to cram all the sight seeing and shopping into a 3 day trip. We didn't want to miss anything! We ate at delicious restaurants, lucked into a VIP tour of the LinkedIn offices and Empire State Building, shopped in Soho and the East Village, spent hours at the Metropolitan Museum, explored a few Sex and the City spots and most importantly got some good girl time in and lots of laughs while doing it. Can we make this an annual thing, ladies??

Here's where we stayed...I could definitely get used to a 24/7 doorman and concierge service!

First thing we did was go to the site of the One World Trade Center and visited the 9/11 Memorial.

That night we had dinner in Times Square at Da Marino. pasta, wine and live music!

The next morning we stopped in St Patrick's Cathedral on our way to Central Park.

After lunch at the Central Park boathouse, we headed to the Empire State Building. We were lucky enough to get our hands on an Exeutive VIP Tour Pass from a girlfriend who works in the building at LinkedIn. We skipped all the lines and even got to go up to the 102nd floor to see the most beautiful views of the city!

Vegetarian Indian food at Vatan for dinner. We wanted to go somewhere you had to take your shoes off and we found it :)

The next day we had breakfast at a Sex & the City spot, Sarabeths. Then we went to the Met and spent a few hours in the exhibits and bought a few prints to bring back home. Then we went over to the Rock for a drink and headed back to Kelli's apartment to get ready to meet some of her friends at PDT (a bar you enter through a phone booth from a hot dog restaurant!)

After a few cocktails at PDT, and then dinner at another delicious Indian restaurant, we headed back to Kelli's because Bri had to be up bright and early the next day to fly home. Monday, Kelli and I spent the day shopping in Soho and Chelsea and enjoyed a delicious lobster roll at Chelsea Market. It was such a fun trip we're trying to convince our husbands to let us make it an annual tradition :)
