LA Trip: Day 1

Justin and I flew out to LA to celebrate his birthday this weekend. We are religious Starwood points trackers so we used a points promotion and stayed for free at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, CA (which is less than 3 miles from Laguna.) It was gorgeous!! Here's a pic of the hotel from our balcony:

We started early the first day by dropping the convertible top and cruising down the PCH.

We found a place called Lookout point in a gorgeous neighborhood in Newport Beach and walked around for about an hour exploring the views and beach.

Then we headed to Table Rock Beach for what we were told would be beautiful and secluded. After walking down what seemed like 600 stairs, it was totally worth it!

Then we had lunch at Nick's in San Clemente (which was delicious!) and went to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. This was probably my favorite place we visited during the entire trip. It's over 200 years old and was absolutely gorgeous!

Then we made it back to the hotel before sunset and got ready for dinner at K'ya Bistro in Laguna.
